•  St. Rynagh's GAA Club   •

The G.A.A. is an organisation officially formed in the year 1884, meaning Gaelic Athletic Association. Its aims are the preservation and cultivation of our national pastimes.


The club is the basic unit of the G.A.A. Even though G.A.A was played for many years in the area, St. Rynagh's Club was formed in 1961 through the amalgamation of clubs from Banagher and Cloghan.

 
The promotion of hurling and camogie in the parish is undertaken by St. Rynagh's Hurling Club which is based in Banagher. The club also supports traditional Irish culture, dancing, music and song and cooperates with other organisations with similar aims. 


St. Rynagh's Hurling Club properties consists of 
- 3 playing pitches: 2 adult size plus one underage
- a covered stand plus terraced viewing area to accomodate 4000-5000 spectators
- Club complex consisting of 4 dressing rooms, meeting room, and a squash court.
Each year the club affiliates and fields 4 adult teams ie. senior, intermediate, junior and u-21.At minor level the club teams compete at u-18, u-16, u-14, u-12 andu-10.
